Planning and Design

At the Craftsman Gardener, we believe that good garden design is the product of a thorough understanding of how gardens work. That's why we see ourselves as gardeners first. Fully trained in the principles of garden design, experience has nonetheless taught us that the very best designs come down to common sense, good plant knowledge, and a flare for judging what looks right.

Although we are able to offer a full design service to those that need it, we have found that many of our clients are not looking to remodel their gardens from scratch.  Often these clients want to retain that established look, while simply adjusting things to suit their current needs.  At the Craftsman Gardener, we specialize in making the most of your existing garden, and know best how to incorporate any new features into the existing scheme.

There are of course occasions when something more is needed.  Newly built houses, for example, often have no garden to speak of at all.  And in these instances, we relish the idea of working with our clients to create something out of nothing!
